What is Spoken Tutorial?

Spoken Tutorial is a multi-award winning educational content portal. Here one can learn various Free and Open Source Software all by oneself. Our self-paced, multi-lingual courses ensure that anybody with a computer and a desire for learning, can learn from any place, at any time and in a language of their choice. All the content published on this website are shared under the CC BY SA license. The courses are simple and easy to follow even for a beginner but they also meet the growing needs of the learner. Engaging digital content ensures that learning happens at all levels - Basic, Intermediate and Advanced. Spoken Tutorial content mandates side-by-side practice thereby ensuring that learners are actively learning. Many of the software taught, are used in various disciplines of Engineering, pure Sciences and several other Under-Grad and Post-Grad studies, and can be extended to Commerce, Arts and Management streams as well. Alongside these, there are some courses relevant at School level, too, which help school students to visualise difficult concepts of Math and Science. These can also be used by Teachers to prepare lesson plans, explain abstract concepts and give digital assignments to students.

AJCE-Center for Spoken Tutorial Project, IIT Bombay

AJCE is one of the highly rated academic centres for promoting the Spoken Tutorial project-IIT Bombay, an initiative of National Mission on Education through ICT, MHRD, Govt. of India.
The Spoken Tutorial project is the initiative of the ‘Talk to a Teacher’ activity of the National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (ICT), launched by the Ministry of Human Resources and Development, Government of India.
The Spoken Tutorial Academic Center functioning under the Department of Computer Science & Engineering.
AJCE Spoken Tutorial Academic Center will be conducting workshops on Linux, LaTeX, Scilab, PHP & MySQL, Python, Java, C/C++, OpenFOAM, Blender, K-Turtle,Oscad, GIMP.

Overview

Objective:

Become a leading light to contribute to the National Mission to make India IT literate and promote the use of Open Source Software.

For Undergoing Workshop:

  • The training is via self-learning so one does not need to leave the campus to undergo the training.
  • It is offered totally FREE of COST, as it is funded by the Govt. of India.
  • In the beginning, we will guide and support the learners, once familiar with the method, all can learn.
  • After learning and practicing the tutorials the student becomes knowledgeable enough to take an online assessment test.
  • Learners receive Spoken Tutorial Projects, IIT Bombay computer generated certificates on clearing the test.
