Established in 2009, the Department of Mechanical Engineering (Automobile) is built on the Future Mobility Spine — weaving Electric Vehicles, AI for autonomy, Smart Manufacturing and Sustainable Mobility across every semester. Backed by five industry Centres of Excellence with Eicher VECVL, Yamaha, Royal Enfield, Bosch and JK Tyre, graduates are ready for the next automotive era.
The Department of Mechanical Engineering (Automobile) was established in 2009 to prepare world-class automobile engineers for industry and academia. Under the new Future Mobility Spine curriculum, Electric Vehicles, Artificial Intelligence, Smart Mobility, and Sustainable Automotive Systems are embedded across all 8 semesters — not treated as afterthought electives.
The department has signed industry partnerships and established Centres of Excellence with Eicher VECVL, India Yamaha Motors, Royal Enfield, Bosch Ltd, and JK Tyres. In-house internships, industry-certified skill courses, and national participation in BAJA, Supra and Formula Student ensure our graduates are industry-ready from day one.
