In a first–of–its–kind venture for an engineering college in Kerala, Amal Jyothi College of Engineering has signed up an MOU with the globally renowned VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd (VECVL- a joint venture between the Volvo Group of Sweden and Eicher Motors Ltd., India) and has started a Center for Automobile Technology at Amal Jyothi campus. The Centre is named Amal Jyothi College of Engineering – Eicher Center for Automobile Technology (ACECAT)
The Center will familiarize students on the latest automobile technology covering scientific ways of repair, maintenance and overhauling of commercial vehicles and exposure to workshop operations, Customer Service management. VECVL will train the trainers and conduct regular follow-up programmes for the faculty. It will also provide study materials and training equipment for the course. The course will blend theory and practical sessions, and VECVL will provide internship to students at their dealerships across Kerala.
