Outcome-Based Education (OBE) is an educational philosophy that centres every part of the academic system around clearly defined goals — ensuring that by the end of the educational experience, every student has achieved the intended learning outcomes. Implemented across all programmes through the AESSaS platform, AJCE's OBE framework is aligned to NBA GAPC V4.0 and the Washington Accord.
Course Outcomes (COs)
Specific, measurable statements of what a student will know and do upon completing a course.
Programme Outcomes (POs)
12 graduate attributes aligned to NBA GAPC V4.0 and Washington Accord standards.
Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs)
Broad statements describing career and professional accomplishments expected 3–5 years after graduation.
Programme Specific Outcomes (PSOs)
Department-specific competency outcomes unique to each programme and its domain.
CO-PO Mapping
Systematic mapping of Course Outcomes to Programme Outcomes using direct and indirect assessment tools.
Bloom's Taxonomy
Six cognitive levels (Remember → Understand → Apply → Analyse → Evaluate → Create) used to calibrate COs and assessments.
Direct Assessment (DA)
CIE, SEE, assignments, lab work — direct measures of student attainment of COs.
Indirect Assessment (IA)
Course-End Surveys, Exit Surveys, Alumni Surveys — capturing perceived learning and satisfaction.
Continuous Improvement (CI)
Attainment analysis → action plans → curriculum revision cycle ensuring quality enhancement every semester.
